Final

Art 2 was pretty similar to art 1, there was more details with the sketches, paintings, and pretty much everything, you have a little less time to work on them because this is more advanced then art 1, my favorite part was the linoleum, it’s so satisfying cutting the parts you don’t need. Then putting the paint over with the roller, back and forth. The painting as always for me is the hardest part, I can’t paint to save my life, I’m too messy when it comes to staying in the lines. But to the very beginning, when we were sketching, I liked that, I was just too slow and wasn’t really good when it comes to art I’m too slow and if it’s going to be decent I take forever because I try not to have erase marks but end up with them anyways.
we went to just practice sketches with the 2x3 boxes and made 5 of them to see which one we would use, with the still life. It was a pretty fun time too, working on the still life and putting in the details and adding value, Ive never really done a lot of perspective drawings.
Then the pen and ink unit was pretty cool but the pen and ink drawing with the patterns were really difficult. I liked the 100 boxes though, it gave me something to do to pass the time and it was pretty calming. Then the color pencils, pastels and chalk were fun my favorite was the pastel chalk, the way you could use your finger to blend and smear your drawings, those were the best, but blending with the pencils was so hard for me I couldn’t do it at all.
The linoleum was fun too every step was really cool, the sketching 5 boxes. Then the final sketch, the printing, cutting and painting, it was all fun. The clay sculpting was fun too, I’m not good at pretty much any of this stuff but it was still cool to be able to experiment with stuff I didn’t know you could use to draw, paint, mold, art 2 was a really fun class, sometimes I didn’t do much sometimes I did some stuff and sometimes i really sat down and did what i needed to do, thanks for the new knowledge and for the trip, I’m glad I had art for one of my final classes in high school. Thank you mrs.rossi
